George Ratliff Johnson, 69, of Winnabow, North Carolina passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023.
He was born on August 1, 1953, in Southport, North Carolina, son of the late Herbert and Florie Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Johnson and his sister-in-law, Velma Johnson.
He was born and raised in Southport, North Carolina. An honest man of faith, he loved his horses and all things western. He was a heavy equipment operator and a devoted family man.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Jackson (Jon); son, Scott Mularas; brothers, Herbert Johnson, Joe Johnson (Mitch) and Burton Warner (Sissy); sisters, Ruth Jenkins (Phillip) and Verda Johnson; grandchildren, Zachary Comstock (Jessi), Jacob Jackson, Justin Jackson, William Mularas, and Kevin Long (Ashlei); great-grandchildren, Cole Comstock, Maddux Comstock, Jackson Comstock, Peyton Comstock, Conner Long, Trent Long, Grace Long, Eli Long, and Jayden Rossi; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Homegoing celebration will be held for George on Saturday, February 4, at Last Call Ministry, located at 1875 Old Mill Creek Road, SE, Winnabow, North Carolina. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. and the service will be held at 4 p.m.
